Tamika Parrish has shown that you no longer need to move to Los Angeles or New York to land principle roles. Tamika, represented by Sol Talent Agency, submitted her self-taped audition and landed a supporting role in the upcoming Sony Pictures Classics feature film The Leisure Seeker, starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Michael Zadoorian and directed by Paolo Virzi, where a runaway couple goes on one last unforgettable cross-country journey together in their old family camper called The Leisure Seeker. Tamika plays the role of a Pregnant Cop, who approaches the camper as it is blocking traffic in the middle of a southern town.

“It’s a great time to be an actor in Atlanta! Over the last few years the number of TV & Film productions shooting here have noticeably increased, creating more jobs for us actors here in the region. We’re working with Hollywood stars, landing principle roles and living our dreams. Producers and Directors are seeing that Atlanta has a strong talent pool and that we’re ready to work! It’s really wonderful,” says Parrish.

“My goal is to be a series regular on a television show. The opportunity is here in Atlanta! I encourage anyone that is looking to work as an actor in Atlanta to put your talent first. This is what continues to drive producers and directors to want to hire talent in Atlanta,” said Parrish.
